About this role
The Power Platform & Database Manager will own, develop, and continuously improve the company’s internal database platform, and related digital solutions built within the Microsoft Power Platform environment. The role combines data modelling, database administration, process automation, and application development to create reliable data structures, automate manual reporting and planning processes, and deliver intuitive internal tools that improve data quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
Working closely with business stakeholders and IT, you will translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly technical solutions and take responsibility for their implementation, testing, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
System Administration & Development: Manage, maintain and continuously improve the internal database and related applications, ensuring system performance, data quality and integrityRequirements & Stakeholder Management: Gather and prioritize business requirements and act as the interface between business users, IT and software development teamsProject & Implementation Management: Lead database, digitalization and automation projects, including the implementation and rollout of new functionalities and applicationsReporting, Analytics & Automation: Develop Power BI dashboards, automated reporting solutions and data-driven tools using Power BI, Excel, Power Query and other relevant technologiesProcess Optimization & Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, digitalization and continuous improvement, including the use of AI-supported development toolsAdvisory & Support: Advise and train users on system functionality, data management and best practices, and provide ad hoc analysis and decision-support to stakeholders. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Management or a related fieldAt least 3 years of relevant professional experience in application development, database management, business systems, process automation, data analytics or a related area.Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and/or Power Apps and Power BIStrong data modelling capabilities, with a solid understanding of database administration, data structures, data models, and data management principlesExperience developing and optimizing business applications and database environmentsExperience with AI-assisted software development and low-code development platformsAdvanced Excel skills, including Power Query and automated reporting solutionsExperience designing and implementing data integrations, APIs, and automated workflowsAbility to develop dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions in Power BI and related tools, with a strong focus on usability and visual designExperience translating business requirements into technical solutions and functional specificationsExperience with system configuration, user management, testing, implementation, and system enhancementsGood understanding of software development principles, application architecture, and user interface designExperience in the energy sector or infrastructure is a plus.Skills & Competencies
