Hummingbird Scientific is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of instrumentation aimed to advance scientific research. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in mechatronics or precision engineering. As a Mechatronics Engineer at Hummingbird Scientific, you'll be a part of a global engineering team. You’ll take full ownership of designing and testing complete mechanical / mechatronics systems - from initial concept through final release and product testing.
Key Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in designing, building and testing integrated mechatronics systemsStrong understanding of mechanical design principles (Kinematics, Dynamics, System Design)2D/3D CAD expertise – SolidWorks or equivalentProficiency with mechanical drawings and GD&TUnderstanding of electronics, electronics design, testing, and hands-on electrical systems implementation.Committed individual who takes ownership of projects and timelineEducation and Experience:
BS in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, MS or PhD is a plus3–5 years of relevant experience in industry with product development and system designProfessional experience in LabVIEW or equivalent product software development
Optional Qualifications:
Background in precision engineering is a plusPrior experience in scientific instrumentation or research environments.Product testing experience 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
