We're looking for a talented and innovative Automotive Designer to join our design team in Pune, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling vehicle designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into production-ready designs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovation.
Develop and conceptualize vehicle interior designs using advanced design toolsProject Management of Design ProjectsConduct market research and competitive analysis to inform design direction and identify emerging automotive trendsCollaborate with sales ,engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams ( internally and externally )to ensure design feasibility and compliance with technical requirementsCreate designs based on feedback from stakeholders, design reviews, and performance testing resultsEnsure all designs meet company design guidelinesPrepare and present design concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams using renderings and prototypesStay current with industry trends, design software advancements, and automotive design best practicesParticipate in design workshops internally and externally and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative surface solutions regarding color and color effects ,grain , gloss and hapticDocument design decisions and maintain organized design files and project records Experience in textil or product design , color coloristic and meassurement methods , ability to validate and finetune colors1-2 years of professional experience in automotive design or related design disciplineproject management skillsSolid understanding of automotive design principles, vehicle dynamics, and design standardsKnowledge of design software and rendering tools for visualization and presentationFamiliarity with manufacturing processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate design concepts effectivelyExperience with design thinking methodologies and prototyping processesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in English for technical communication and documentation , basis knowledge in German is appreciatedPreferred: Experience with digital design tools, animation software, or virtual reality applications in automotive design Ready to drive with Continental?
