About this role
As Head of ContiTech Internal Audit (m/f/diverse), you will lead the global internal audit function and play a key role in strengthening the organization’s risk management, internal control, and governance framework. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will provide independent assurance, valuable insights, and recommendations that support sustainable business success and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit strategy aligned with organizational objectivesLead the internal audit team, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvementPrepare and implement an annual audit plan based on risk assessmentOversee the execution of audits across financial, operational, IT, and compliance areasEnsure audit reports provide actionable recommendations and follow up on remediation activitiesEvaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworksAdvise the Managing Directors and the Executive Management Committee on emerging risks and regulatory requirementsProvide regular updates on audit findings, risk exposures, and control improvementsDrive continuous improvement in audit methodologies, processes, and tools Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldProfessional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA, or an equivalent qualificationExtensive professional experience in internal audit, risk management, or related areas, including proven leadership responsibilityIn-depth knowledge of internal audit standards (IIA), risk management principles, and internal control frameworks such as COSOStrong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance requirements, and IT-related risks and controlsExperience leading complex audit engagements and collaborating with senior stakeholders in an international environmentFluent German and English language skills, both written and spokenStrong leadership, communication, and influencing skillsHigh level of integrity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilityAbility to operate effectively in complex and dynamic business environmentsApplications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
