About this role
• Teach in compliance with Arizona state elementary / High School standards
• Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school and demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
• To develop in each student an understanding of the relationship of good body function and exercise.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment in the physical education areas.
• Grade coursework and provide content area feedback to encourage student learning and motivation.
• Teaches knowledge and skills in physical fitness, health education, and individual, dual, or team sports.
• Analyzes, demonstrates, and explains basic skills, knowledge's, and strategies of formal sports, games rhythms, and fundamentals of body movement.
• Communication with students and parents to encourage course completion and success.
• Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property.
• Provides student support services by monitoring halls, study periods, and lunchroom.
• Attends and participates in staff development programs, faculty events and meetings, and serves on staff committees as required (teacher in-service days).
• Utilize student information database (Powerschool)
