We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Manager - Food Safety to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive food safety programs that ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational standards. You will lead a team of food safety professionals, conduct thorough audits and inspections, and drive continuous improvement across all food safety operations. Develop, implement, and maintain food safety protocols, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with FSSAI regulations and international standardsConduct regular food safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify non-conformances and areas for improvementSupervise and train food safety team members on proper protocols, documentation, and compliance requirementsInvestigate food safety incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances; analyze root causes and implement corrective actionsMaintain comprehensive food safety documentation, records, and traceability systems to ensure regulatory complianceCoordinate with regulatory authorities and manage inspections, certifications, and compliance submissionsMonitor and evaluate supplier compliance with food safety standards and conduct supplier audits as neededAnalyze food safety data, trends, and metrics to identify patterns and recommend preventive measuresPrepare detailed reports and presentations on food safety performance for management reviewStay current with evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices; communicate updates to relevant stakeholdersCollaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure integrated food safety management **Required Qualifications:**
3-5 years of professional experience in food safety, quality assurance, or related fieldComprehensive knowledge of food safety management systems and standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI guidelines)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex food safety dataExcellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProficiency in food safety management software and systemsIn-depth understanding of Indian food safety regulations and compliance requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishDemonstrated ability to lead, train, and supervise team membersAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation**Preferred Qualifications:**
Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or other recognized food safety standardsPrevious experience in a supervisory or assistant management roleFamiliarity with statistical analysis tools and quality management softwareExperience conducting internal and external food safety auditsKnowledge of risk assessment methodologies in food safetyExperience in the food manufacturing, processing, or hospitality industry Desired Candidate:
