Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements: Active DV Clearance, which must already be heldStrong background in Data Architecture or Data Engineering, with hands-on experience on at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCPSolid understanding of modern data patterns, including lakehouse, medallion, and streaming architecturesExperience designing full cloud data platforms, not just individual componentsComfortable working with clients and stakeholdersPractical mindset and ability to make sensible trade-offs without over-engineeringFamiliarity with cloud-native data services, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, distributed processing frameworks, and streaming technologies such as Kafka or cloud-native equivalents Responsibilities: Design end-to-end data platforms, covering the full lifecycle from ingestion through to consumptionWork with lakehouse and medallion architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layersDefine batch and streaming pipelines to suit different use casesMake decisions about storage, orchestration, governance, and securityWork with clients and stakeholders to translate business problems into practical technical solutionsDeliver work in secure, regulated environments, using sound judgement and attention to detailSelect appropriate tools for the problem and cloud platform in use Technologies: AWSAzureCloudDatabricksGCPKafkaSecuritySnowflakeSparkRedshiftArchitectBigQuery More:
We are a successful multinational technology consultancy with long-term client programmes and opportunities for Data Architects and Data Engineers across secure, high-impact programmes. The role offers ownership of how data platforms are designed and delivered across different client environments and industries. It is cloud-agnostic, with programmes using AWS, Azure, or GCP. Salary is £60,000 to £100,000 plus bonus and benefits. The role is hybrid, based in Bristol, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Cambridge, or Belfast, with two days a week in one of our offices.
