Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements: HND or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.5+ years of software development experience.Strong VB.NET skills.Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, automation, or engineering environment.Experience with or an interest in machine control, motion control, or hardware integration.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.Experience with PLCs, automation, laser control systems, or industrial machinery is advantageous. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software used to control complex engineering systems.Develop and maintain VB.NET software for industrial applications.Integrate software with machinery, hardware, and control systems.Support machine and motion control applications.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Test, commission, and support equipment installations.Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement.Work across the development lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, implementation, and ongoing support.Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production engineers. Our client is a successful UK manufacturer of advanced, high-tech equipment supplied to customers worldwide. The role is suited to a software engineer who enjoys working close to machinery, hardware, and practical engineering challenges.
