Salary: £75,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements: Must be ex-military; our recruitment consultancy can represent ex-military candidates only.Security clearance is required.Experience in cyber, communications, security engineering, security architecture, or a related technical security field.Understanding of secure-by-design principles and complex or high-assurance systems.Experience in network, platform, or infrastructure security, cyber risk, or technical assurance.Ability to contribute to taking a developing capability from MVP through productionalisation into secure operational delivery.Collaborative, inclusive, low-ego approach and comfort working in a technically strong team.Defence experience and credibility are valued.South Coast or South-Central location is preferred, but not essential. Responsibilities: Act as a principal-level technical security lead on a high-assurance UK defence programme.Apply secure-by-design principles to real-world defence delivery.Support the programme as it progresses from MVP towards operational capability.Work alongside Security-by-Design specialists, Solution Architects, DevOps, and security assurance teams.Contribute to security architecture, secure information exchange and cross-domain work, cyber risk and technical assurance, network and platform security, IAM, cryptography and key management, cloud and infrastructure security, data and application security, security monitoring and detection, stakeholder engagement, and technical innovation and product development. This is a long-term role supporting a UK defence programme that is already in development. The position is UK remote and offers £75,000–£85,000k plus benefits. We are recruiting for a specialist defence opportunity focused on technical delivery, rather than producing architecture diagrams alone.
