Requirements: Proven experience as an Identity & Access Management Architect, Security Architect, or in a similar role.Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management principles, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and federation technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.Experience defining and implementing enterprise security architecture and controls.Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices.Experience conducting security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat modelling.Experience working with cloud platforms and supporting cloud transformation programmes.Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar IdAM technologies.Desirable: Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and experience in highly regulated environments.Desirable: Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF, SABSA, or Microsoft Security Certifications. Responsibilities: Provide specialist security and identity architecture support across strategic programmes, including IdAM, Service Management Convergence, and cloud transformation initiatives.Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies, technical requirements, and target operating models.Conduct security architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and integration assessments.Partner with Solution and System Architects to embed security principles throughout solution design and delivery.Verify that Security Control Objectives and security guardrails are followed and implemented across services and platforms.Provide detailed technical risk analysis to Risk Advisors to support service and product risk assessments for review by risk owners.Design and implement identity and security solutions, including defining security methodologies, standards, technologies, and processes.Support the deployment and integration of security tools, ensuring effective implementation and operational readiness.Monitor and maintain compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures.Participate in incident response investigations and contribute to security awareness and education initiatives.Identify security gaps and advise on system and platform enhancements to improve our organisational security posture.Produce security reports, recommendations, and architecture documentation by analysing trends, risks, and security metrics.Collaborate with the wider Security Architecture team through mentoring and knowledge sharing. We are seeking an experienced IdAM Architect to join our Security Architecture team and help shape and enhance our enterprise security capabilities. The role supports major transformation initiatives, including Journey to the Cloud, Service Management Convergence, and wider business change programmes. You will work with Security Architects, Engineering teams, Risk Advisors, and business stakeholders to align security with business and regulatory requirements. The position is based on-site in Cheltenham, is offered on a contract basis, and pays £550–£700.
