About this role

mimic robotics is a frontier physical AI company building the full stack of general-purpose dexterous manipulation. Founded in 2024 by ETH Zurich researchers, mimic pioneered Video-Action Models for robotics while also developing in-house dexterous hand hardware. Our growing team brings together world-class researchers working across our offices in Zurich and San Francisco. What You'll Do Design and develop PCBs, flexible PCBs (FPCs), and wiring harnesses for compact robotic systems. Engineer electrical solutions for tight integration constraints and high-cycle applications. Ensure electrical designs meet high standards of reliability, durability, and manufacturability. Support electronics certification, testing, and validation. Collaborate with embedded and mechanical engineers to optimize hardware integration and ensure good signal integrity. Drive designs from prototyping through to high-volume production. What We're Looking For 2–5+ years of industry experience in electrical hardware and/or electronics design. Experience designing electronics for manufacturing at scale, ideally with production volumes of 10K–1M+ units. Strong experience designing flexible PCBs, and/or wiring harnesses. Ideally, hands-on experience with dynamic flex PCBs designed for repeated bending in compact products (e.g., laptops, foldable smartphones, consumer robotics). Hands-on experience debugging signal integrity and interference issues on wiring harnesses / flexible PCBs. Familiarity with electronics certification, design validation, and reliability testing. Strong attention to detail, structured working style, and a commitment to robust, high-quality engineering. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering environment. Why Join Us? You'll play a key role in developing the electrical architecture of our next-generation robotic hands. Your designs will directly impact the reliability, uptime, and scalability of our robotic systems as we bring them into real-world applications.
