Are you passionate about environmental chemistry or mass spectrometry and can you contribute to the development of the project PFAS-CLEAR and SWIFT? The Department of Environmental Science at Aarhus University is looking for one student assistant. Expected start date and duration of employment The position is from 1 November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, and for a period of 2 years. Job description You will be contributing to the organization of project datasets, digitalization and integration of data, and curation of research data and associated metadata. You will support harmonization of datasets, including data structures, variable names, units and metadata, and contribute to basic quality control and documentation. You will assist with data processing, tabulation and visualization when relevant. These activities will be carried out in close collaboration with researchers working in the PFAS-CLEAR and SWIFT projects. Your profile Experience in handling and treating research datasets, environmental data and experimental metadata. Experience with SciexOS is an advantage. Experience with Excel and/or data handling in R or Python is an advantage. Be thorough and able to work independently and disciplined. Be able to communicate in English. Have an interest in environmental chemistry and data integration. The qualification requirement is enrolment at an institution of higher education. Who we are The Department of Environmental Science has about 150 employees working in basic and problem-oriented research within environmental science, including chemical and physical processes and interactions between environment and society. The department also carries out research-based consultancy for the public sector and provides research-based advice. The academic expertise ranges from atmospheric chemistry and physics, via environmental chemistry, microbiology and biotechnology to environmental economics, environmental geography, political science and sociology. The department is located in Roskilde, Denmark. This position will be based in the section for Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology.
