About this role
The opportunity Are you the kind of operations leader who does not just talk about solving plant problems - but gets close to the process, gathers the right people, understands the issue and helps get the next run moving? We are working with a fast-moving Danish green technology scale-up developing an advanced process technology for converting biomass-derived feedstocks into sustainable liquid products. The company is now looking for a hands-on Technical Execution Manager to strengthen operations at a pre-commercial demonstration facility in Trekantsområdet/Triangle area in Jutland/Southern Denmark. Important: This is not a steady-state factory role. It is a practical, high-ownership role in a development-stage process environment where systems are tested, improved, run again and matured toward future industrial scale. The role You will take a central role in leading and operating a demonstration facility, ensuring that test campaigns, troubleshooting, maintenance, sampling, data collection and operational follow-up happen with the urgency and discipline. You will be responsible for the execution of test runs and campaigns that follow a dynamic plan developed by the CTO with your direct support and input. • Lead and coordinate demo plant operations and structured test campaigns. • Manage operational preparations, run schedules, troubleshooting and maintenance follow-up. • Directly step in and provide necessary operational and hands on support to practical tasks when needed. • Drive practical problem-solving when equipment, process flow or operational issues block progress. • Support startup/shutdown planning, process control improvements and operational readiness. • Establish and improve SOPs, sampling routines, handovers and escalation processes. • Document data from test campaigns with accuracy to allow for mass/energy balance calculations that directly feed into separate engineering work for a commercial facility • Coordinate validated samples for internal testing as well as shipments to external partners. • Work closely with pilot, lab, engineering and senior technical stakeholders. • Build a stronger operating cadence around uptime, safety, team planning and fast turnaround between tests. What we are looking for You might come from chemical processing, refining, energy/process technology, industrial biotech, food ingredients, pilot/demo plant operations, process engineering or another hands-on process industry. Exact technology match is not required. What matters is that you can understand a complex process environment quickly and lead people through practical operational challenges with a high sense of urgency and ability to push and drive the team to work longer and harder while also staying motivated. • Experience from plant operations, process operations, production, technical operations, pilot plant or demo plant environments. • A technical background or strong applied process understanding. • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with high creativity. • Experience leading technicians, operators, engineers or cross-functional execution teams. • Experience with SOPs, risk assessments or structured startup activities. • The ability to move things forward with urgency - without becoming reckless. • Motivation for dynamically scheduled campaign-based work, scale-up and practical problem-solving. Strong advantages • Demonstration plants or pre-commercial facilities. • Industrial commissioning, startup or ramp-up. • High-temperature / high-pressure process equipment. • HAZOP, ATEX, LOPA or process safety exposure. • Biomass, thermochemical processes, fuels, refining or related process technologies. • Instrumentation, automation, maintenance or utilities. • Process control, sampling, data collection and technical validation. • Building operational routines around SOPs, shifts, KPIs, handovers and maintenance. The person We are looking for a pragmatic player-coach with shopfloor credibility. You do not need to be loud - but you do need presence, ownership and drive. • You enjoy environments where the next run matters and priorities can change quickly. • You are willing to roll up your sleeves when the situation requires it. • You can work a flexible work schedule and longer days when needed. • You combine a "yes, let us solve it" mindset with safety and risk awareness. • You communicate clearly, especially when risks, delays or decisions need escalation. • You are motivated by helping a green process technology mature from development toward industrial scale. Practical details • Location: Trekantsområdet/Triangle area Jutland. • Employment: Full-time. • Start: As soon as possible. • Compensation indication: approx. DKK 60,000-70,000/month + 10% pension, depending on experience and fit. • The client company will remain confidential during the initial dialogue. Interested? Apply via the LinkedIn form.
