A permanent, part-time position (40%, equivalent to two days per week) as Senior Researcher at Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation at Rigshospitalet (CAMES-RH) is available from 1 November 2026. CAMES is internationally recognised as one of the world's leading centres for simulation-based education and research, with state-of-the-art facilities, a sustained record of high impact peer-reviewed publications, and an extensive portfolio of evidence-based training programmes for health professionals across disciplines and career stages. CAMES collaborates closely with hospitals and primary-care services in the Capital Region of Denmark, and with universities, professional bodies and industry partners both in Denmark and internationally. As a Senior Researcher, you will work at CAMES Rigshospitalet and across partner sites in the future Region East. Your job responsibilities As a Senior Researcher, you will initially be responsible for development and innovation activities within IRE (Intelligent Robotic Endoscopes for Improved Healthcare Services, 2024–2028), a major EU-funded research project. Your work will focus on translating clinical needs into technological solutions for robotic endoscopy, in close collaboration with clinicians, engineers and international project partners. Over time, the role will expand to include the development and validation of automated systems for assessing clinical competence and providing feedback to support learning and improve performance. Your main responsibilities will include: Contributing to the development of the research, innovation and education environment at CAMES and across Region East Developing and supporting innovation and research projects that use CAMES to connect clinical needs in hospitals with engineering expertise at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) Publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals in collaboration with local, national and international partners Disseminating research findings to wider audiences through senior editorial responsibilities, invited keynote presentations, and contributions to international consensus and standards development Helping to secure competitive external funding to support your research Qualifications The successful applicant will have: A Master of Science in Engineering (MSc Eng) or an equivalent qualification A PhD in a relevant field Experience in leading and completing high-quality research and innovation projects Salary and Terms of Employment Employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement stated below. Your starting salary will depend on your seniority, qualifications, experience, and the geographical location of your workplace.
