Athletic Trainer (Full-Time) - Ortho Spine Surgery
We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Athletic Trainer who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to positive clinical outcomes. This position works collaboratively with our Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
Position Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Patient Care
• Collaborate closely with physicians to evaluate and assess patient conditions.
• Independently work up new patients and partner with the Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to develop individualized plans of care.
• Perform examinations and clinical assessments within scope of practice.
• Evaluate injuries and develop evidence-based treatment and exercise programs.
• Reassess and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient evaluations, plans of care, and treatments in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Obtain and review diagnostic imaging reports, lab results, and consultation notes prior to patient appointments.
• Prepare patient charts in advance of scheduled visits.
• Triage clinical questions and respond appropriately.
• Assist with prescription preparation and communicate imaging/lab results to patients.
• Communicate with other departments regarding scheduling, insurance inquiries, and bracing costs.
Procedural & Technical Responsibilities
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures
• Assist in the fitting and education of patients for prescribed braces.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or related field.
• Graduation from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program (or equivalent accredited program).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in sports medicine or orthopedic settings.
• Familiarity with motor vehicle accident, workers’ compensation, and personal injury cases.
• Strong ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
Location & Travel
This position requires weekly travel between NJ offices located in Princeton, Lawrenceville, and Freehold
Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable working in a multi-site environment. $65,000
