At New Roads Behavioral Health, we support young adults working through mental health and life challenges. As a Residential Mentor, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where clients can grow, heal, and build life skills.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in mental health, psychology, social work, or human services—or anyone who enjoys meaningful, hands-on work.
🕒 Schedule
• Part time schedules available - 4 days a week
• Weekday graveyard shifts: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
💙 What You’ll Do
• Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and serve as a role model
• Supervise daily activities and help maintain a structured, therapeutic environment
• Participate in group sessions, recreational activities, and outings
• Support clients in managing emotions, completing assignments, and developing life skills
• Assist with medication organization and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Document daily progress and communicate with the clinical team
• Help plan activities like shopping, recreation, and skill-building exercises
🌱 What We’re Looking For
• Experience in caregiving, behavioral health, or working with young adults (preferred, not required)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Interest in mental health and helping others grow
