Introduction to the Job As a Senior EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in advancing environmental, health, and safety performance across the San Diego site. Serving as a trusted EHS expert, you will translate global and regulatory standards into practical business solutions, drive continuous improvement, and help foster a strong safety culture that supports our high-tech manufacturing and engineering operations. Roles and Responsibilities Investigate, evaluate, and provide expert guidance across multiple EHS topics, including incident management, compliance management, industrial hygiene, high-risk safety management, environmental data and improvement projects, and EHS culture and training. Manage established EHS processes for the assigned factory or location, including incident management, compliance management, job safety analysis and risk management, inspections and audits, and sustainability reporting. Lead sector project teams that improve EHS processes and deliver large, complex EHS improvement projects. Advise business managers on EHS content and translate company policies, procedures, goals, and strategies into effective solutions for business situations. Set and maintain EHS standards within the assigned factory or location and optimize local EHS work processes. Manage knowledge within one or more technical competence areas, such as laser safety, electrical safety, radiation, hazardous materials, ergonomics, waste, energy, carbon dioxide emissions, or life cycle assessments. Act as a competence lead for one or more technical EHS areas within the assigned sector or across sectors and maintain a strong internal expert network. Develop and deliver technical EHS training for employees. Own Management Operational Performance data, perform EHS trend analyses, and lead reporting dashboards in myEHS. Lead initiatives that strengthen EHS culture and manage internal EHS communications for the assigned factory or location. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Relevant degree in occupational or environmental health and safety, engineering, industrial hygiene, or related technical discipline.

• 2+ years of experience in the EHS field with progressive roles and responsibilities, including developing and executing EHS programs, as well as specific work experience related to chemical safety, industrial hygiene, and risk management

• Experience with strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA Title 8 Safety and Health regulations in General Industry and ANSI standards. Specific knowledge related to regulatory guidance and standards impacting work with chemicals and hazardous materials is expected

• Ability to work effectively within a large, cross-functional team while independently providing expert guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Proven experience managing large, complex EHS projects and advising business managers at the management level and translating established policies into business applications. Skills Ability to work independently at a tactical level in a dynamic business environment and exercise sound professional judgment. Expertise in EHS process management, risk evaluation, compliance, data analysis, and continuous improvement. Ability to manage complexity and adapt or modify standard techniques and procedures appropriately. Strong internal and external customer focus. Effective stakeholder management and communication with managers, experts, and cross-functional partners. Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite programs and the ability to work with EHS reporting dashboards. Ability to collaborate in a positive and efficient manner, provide constructive feedback, and listen carefully to feedback from others. Results-driven approach with ownership and accountability for EHS improvements. Ability to build networks and influence across sectors without direct authority. Clear, concise, professional, written, and verbal communication.

• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CSHM, or CHMM are preferred

Other Information The role may support an EHS team within Development and Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technical Research, Customer Support, Corporate Real Estate, or Corporate EHS and interfaces with the EHS manager, sector managers, and relevant experts. Office environment responsibilities Routinely required to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. The employee may occasionally be required to move around the campus. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently: $92,800-127,600 Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
