​Responsibilities: ● Survey and research the meanings and forms of a community's local arts. ● Help communities integrate their local arts into language and community development programs. ● With local communities and other stakeholders, facilitate the creation and evaluation of indigenous Christian songs, dances, drama, stories and other performances and visual arts, in response to community goals and needs. ● Share what is learned with academic and other communities.

​Education and Experience: ● Training by approved programs at Dallas International University (Center for Excellence in World Arts) or Payap University, described at https://www.sil.org/training/arts-and- ethnomusicology. ● Has experience working with a wide range of artistic disciplines, with special competence in at least one. ● Previous multicultural experience helpful ● Further training to be determined ● Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in Swahili
