About this role
Support safe and efficient shop operations by maintaining and repairing equipment, identifying potential mechanical issues, and ensuring tools and equipment are ready for daily operations. Assist with solids control equipment and other operational needs while following NOV safety standards and procedures.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain shop and field equipment. • Identify mechanical issues and assist with repairs to minimize equipment downtime. • Perform welding and fabrication work as needed. • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition. • Keep the shop, yard, and work areas clean, organized, and safe. • Load and unload trucks and equipment as needed. • Operate loaders, forklifts, and other equipment after required training. • Follow all NOV safety policies, procedures, and work instructions. • Maintain required training and certifications. • Respond to call-outs as needed, including nights and weekends. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and spend extended periods standing and walking throughout the shop and yard.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience required. • Minimum 1 year of welding experience required. • Solids control, pump, or similar equipment experience preferred. • Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems. • Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and technologies. • Ability to operate or train to operate loaders, forklifts, and solids control equipment.
