OFCI Project Manager Hyperscale Data Center | Greater Philadelphia, PA | Mission Critical | Fully On Site About the Role On a hyperscale data center, owner-furnished equipment such as generators, switchgear, UPS systems, chillers, and racks can drive the entire schedule. When a delivery slips, the delay reaches commissioning and the owner's go-live date. As OFCI Project Manager, you will lead the program that moves owner-procured equipment from purchase order to installed, tested, and handed off, keeping our team, the owner, and our installing subcontractors aligned at every step. This is a fully on-site role on a mission critical project near Philadelphia. You will report to [Project Executive / Senior Project Manager] and work closely with our field team, owner representatives, and equipment vendors. What You'll Do Own the OFCI program from procurement tracking through installation handoff, including delivery windows, laydown, staging, rigging, and installation sequencing Serve as the primary interface between owner vendors, Barton Malow field teams, and installing subcontractors Build and maintain the OFCI tracking log and schedule, tying delivery dates to the critical path and commissioning milestones Identify delivery risk early, communicate it clearly to the owner and project leadership, and drive recovery plans before slippage cascades Lead receiving, inspection, and damage documentation, including claims coordination with vendors and carriers Manage warranty documentation and transfer, and close out OFCI scope with complete records Coordinate with project engineers, superintendents, and safety leaders so every lift, move, and installation is planned and carried out safely Direct and develop project engineers supporting the OFCI program What You Bring 5+ years of construction project management experience, including managing OFCI equipment on a major project Experience on mission critical, data center, or similarly complex projects with large, long-lead equipment A working understanding of the logistics chain: procurement tracking, delivery, laydown, staging, rigging, installation, and handoff Comfort as the link between owners, vendors, and trade partners, with the confidence to share difficult news early Strong organization and follow-through, with proficiency in scheduling and tracking tools [P6, MS Project, Procore, Excel, etc.] Experience with receiving procedures, damage documentation, and warranty processes A commitment to safety and to Barton Malow's values of Integrity, Partnership, and Empowerment [Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience] Nice to Have Familiarity with commissioning processes and how equipment readiness drives start-up Experience with electrical and mechanical systems typical of hyperscale facilities [PMP, OSHA 30, or similar] Why Barton Malow For more than a century, Barton Malow has built projects that matter, guided by a simple purpose: Building Today for a Better Tomorrow: People, Projects, and Communities.
