Learn from deep subject matter experts through mentoring and on the job coaching Summary We are seeking a Strategic Events Consultant to serve as the strategic engine behind the organization’s event portfolio. This role focuses on developing and optimizing event strategies that align with broader business objectives. The successful candidate will leverage data, scenario modeling, and executive storytelling to inform event selection, cadence planning, ROI forecasting, and ticket monetization strategies. This position requires a highly adaptable professional who can operate effectively in ambiguous environments, influence senior stakeholders, and translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract opportunity. What will your typical day look like? Develop and drive the overarching strategy for enterprise events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business priorities. Analyze event performance data and market trends to inform event selection, investment decisions, and future planning. Create executive-level presentations and strategic recommendations that translate complex insights into actionable business decisions. Design and maintain scenario models to evaluate event variables such as pricing, attendance, inventory, timing, and revenue opportunities. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights, align priorities, and build consensus on strategic initiatives. Lead strategic projects from conception through execution, ensuring milestones, objectives, and stakeholder expectations are met. Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide visibility into event performance, ROI, and business impact. Utilize Google Slides, Google Sheets, SQL, and analytical tools to create compelling data-driven collateral for leadership audiences. Advise senior leadership on opportunities to optimize event investments, audience engagement, and monetization strategies. Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve event effectiveness, scalability, and business outcomes. About the team You will be part of a high-performing Strategy and Planning team responsible for shaping and optimizing the organization’s event ecosystem. The team partners closely with marketing leaders, event owners, finance teams, sales organizations, and executive stakeholders to define and execute impactful event strategies. Operating at the intersection of analytics, business strategy, and stakeholder management, the team is responsible for maximizing the value and impact of event investments while driving measurable business outcomes. Enough about us, let’s talk about you Required Qualifications 4-6 years of consulting, strategy, business operations, or related professional experience. Proven experience in strategic planning, management consulting, event strategy, marketing strategy, business operations, or a related field. Strong executive presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to senior leadership audiences. Experience developing data-driven business strategies and recommendations. Advanced analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and business outcomes. Strong stakeholder management experience, including influencing and collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to lead projects from strategy development through successful execution. Proficiency with Google Slides, Google Sheets, Excel, or similar reporting and presentation tools. Experience working with SQL and data analysis methodologies. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting large-scale marketing, customer, partner, or technology-focused events. Background in management consulting, strategic operations, business analytics, event portfolio management, or corporate strategy. Experience with ROI modeling, scenario planning, and investment optimization frameworks. Knowledge of ticketing strategies, event monetization, and demand-generation programs. Experience creating executive-level business cases and strategic recommendations. Experience within technology, cloud, SaaS, or enterprise software environments. Experience working with senior executive stakeholders and presenting at the leadership level. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
