We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Indonesia. In this customer-facing role, you will provide reliable technical services for our process instrumentation and support customers across an extensive service area. The position can be based in Surabaya, Jakarta, or Medan, depending on your preferred location. What is the role about? Do you enjoy solving technical challenges directly at customer sites? Are you confident working independently while maintaining close communication with customers and colleagues? Would you like to develop your expertise in process instrumentation while helping customers improve the reliability of their operations? As a Field Service Engineer, you will be an important technical partner for our customers throughout the lifecycle of their Endress+Hauser instruments. Beyond resolving immediate technical issues, you will seek to understand their operational needs, identify the root causes of recurring problems, and recommend solutions that create lasting customer value. Which tasks will you perform? You will: Deliver post-sale services at customer sites, including on-site installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Endress+Hauser instruments Take ownership of customer issues through to resolution and coordinate effective escalation when additional technical support is required Carry out structured root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to resolve technical issues and help prevent recurring instrument failures Advise customers on instrument operation, configuration, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and service improvements that enhance performance and reliability Provide technical guidance and practical training to customer employees on the correct and safe operation and maintenance of our instruments Use digital service platforms and business systems to manage, document, track, and close service activities accurately and on time Identify relevant service, upgrade, and improvement opportunities that create sustainable customer value and contribute to the development of our service business Collaborate closely with customers, internal technical teams, and other stakeholders to resolve service requests and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction What do we expect from you? You: Hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline Bring practical experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting, preferably involving process instrumentation, industrial automation, or comparable technologies Have hands-on knowledge of process instrumentation and are comfortable working with technical equipment in industrial environments Have knowledge of IT applications, MS Office (proficient user in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SFDC, SAP) Have a good notion in English (writing and speaking) Communicate confidently with customers, approach problems systematically, and can work both independently and collaboratively Are proactive, service-oriented, and willing to travel regularly throughout the assigned service area What can you expect from us?
