About this role
As a Teaching Assistant and Mid-Day Assistant in our infant school, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. You will work alongside a class teacher to plan and deliver exciting lessons, assess children’s progress, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the development of each child.
As a Mid-Day Assistant, you will supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their welfare, safety, and good behaviour. You will also help to promote positive social interactions and support children with play and personal needs.

In addition, as a Mid-Day Assistant you will be:
Supervising children in the hall, playground, and other areas during lunchSupporting positive play and encouraging good social skillsPromoting healthy eating and assisting pupils with meals where necessaryManaging behaviour in line with school policy and addressing minor issues promptlyAdministering basic first aid and reporting incidents in accordance with school proceduresEnsuring the safety and well-being of all children throughout the lunchtime period
