About this role
We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our Day Nursery team, which forms part of Blackmoor Park Infant School and Kindergarten. This is a full-year position on a 52-week contract, and not a term-time only role, so applicants must be able to work throughout the year, including school holiday periods.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
A genuine passion for working with young children (ages 0–3) and supporting their developmentStrong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleaguesA nurturing, patient, and caring approachAbility to work effectively as part of a team as well as independentlyGood organisational skills and attention to detailCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenExperience and Qualifications:
A relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent)Previous experience working in an early years or nursery settingKnowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection practicesExperience of planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s learning and developmenWork 10 hour shifts in line with our new operational structure form September 2026.Desirable:
