We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated Nurse to join a forward-thinking and innovative team. You will contribute to our nursing services and play a key role with the ongoing development of the practice.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Treatment Room Duties
Wound Care: Cleans and dresses wounds, including leg ulcers, assesses healing progress, and removes sutures.
Blood and Samples: Collects blood samples (venepuncture) and gathers laboratory specimens.
General Treatments: Administers authorised injections, and monitors blood pressure, ECGs and conducts Health Assessments.
Screening and Immunisations
Immunisations: Delivers adult, child, and travel vaccinations.
Preventive Tests: Performs cervical screening (cytology), family planning and Sexual Health Testing. General health checks like height, weight, and urinalysis are also expected.
Long-Term Condition Support
Chronic Disease Monitoring: Assists in clinics for conditions like asthma, diabetes, and COPD by taking vital measurements and noting symptoms.
Health Promotion: Gives lifestyle advice on smoking, diet, and exercise.
Professional and Administrative Tasks
Record Keeping: Updates patient notes accurately on practice computer systems.
Stock and Safety: Keeps the treatment room clean, restocks medical supplies, and follows infection control rules.
Standards and Training: Takes part in clinical audits, attends training days, and follows the NMC Code.
About us
Courthouse Medical Centre is a 4 Partner General Practice located in Caerphilly. We have approximately 10,600 patients and our practice boundary covers the Caerphilly area. We have a Team of motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Doctors who meet informally daily for a general chat and catch up. We have an active Primary Health Care Team including two Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, one Health Care Assistant and a Phlebotomist. We have an excellent and experienced Administration Team of 16. We are also an accredited training practice.

Excellent bedside Manner. A good team-player who possessed effective communication & relationship building skills. A pro-active & motivated person who endeavours all types of challenges.

Previous experience as a Practice Nurse Experience of EMIS.
