Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the leadership and day-to-day operation of Imperial's Human Anatomy Unit. Working closely with the Human Anatomy Unit Manager, you will help ensure the delivery of high-quality anatomical, clinical skills and pathology teaching facilities that support undergraduate, postgraduate, external education and research activities.
Main duties of the job Support the leadership and operational management of a multidisciplinary anatomical services facility. Supervise and support a dedicated technical team, ensuring the effective planning and delivery of teaching and operational activities. Coordinate the preparation and delivery of anatomy, clinical skills and pathology teaching sessions. Ensure compliance with the Human Tissue Act 2004, Human Tissue Authority (HTA) standards, health and safety legislation, and institutional policies. Oversee the maintenance, development and efficient use of teaching facilities, equipment and resources. Work collaboratively with academic, professional services and external partners to support a high-quality learning experience. Contribute to service development, continuous improvement initiatives and operational planning across the Unit.

What we are looking for The post holder should hold a degree in Anatomy, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or possess an equivalent vocational qualification or substantial relevant teaching laboratory-based experience.Experience working at a senior technical level in an Anatomy teaching laboratory or similar environmentExperience in line management.Experience in supervising staff, students, and groupsExperience in training staffExperience in implementing HR protocolsExperience in utilising IT packagesExperience in providing management and information reports.Experience in Quality management and inventory management practicesWorking knowledge and experience of HTA regulationsExperience in designing and implementing SOPs and HTA documentsWorking Knowledge of developing and implementing Health and Safety Regulations and Legislation
Working knowledge of chemical, hazardous waste, and environmental safety
