About this role

Job summary

Applications are invited for an established and highly regarded RCOG-approved Subspecialty Training Programme in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, delivered across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.

This is a three-year programme leading to subspecialty accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, including the research component required for accreditation. Trainees who obtain approved research exemption may be eligible for a shorter programme in accordance with current RCOG requirements.

The programme offers outstanding clinical exposure across the full breadth of reproductive medicine and surgery within a high-performing multidisciplinary service. It has an excellent track record, with previous trainees progressing to consultant posts in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery within the United Kingdom.

We welcome applications from ambitious clinicians committed to a career in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Applications are invited from candidates eligible for entry into RCOG Subspecialty Training, including eligible UK and international applicants who meet current GMC and RCOG requirements.

Main duties of the job

To provide advanced training leading to subspecialty accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and to prepare the trainee for independent consultant practice.

The programme aims to develop clinicians with expertise across the full spectrum of reproductive medicine and surgery, together with the professional, leadership, educational and academic skills required to contribute to the future development of reproductive medicine services.

The trainee will participate in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology out-of-hours rota.

To protect subspecialty training opportunities, out-of-hours commitments will normally be undertaken at approximately 50% of the commitment expected of general Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees, subject to service requirements and rota design.

All rota arrangements will comply with national terms and conditions of service, Working Time Regulations and current RCOG guidance.

The programme provides comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of reproductive medicine and surgery.
