About the role 
 Location 1Powerhouse, PJ (5mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama) Reporting to Import & Export Manager Working Hours 4pm - 1am (supporting Europe region) The Import Export Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing import and export activities in compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable customs, trade, and regulatory standards. The role supports smooth international shipment operations by managing documentation, shipment coordination, regulatory compliance, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods across borders.

Key responsibilities 

• Action daily import and export requests received through centrally managed shared inboxes, reviewing requirements, prioritising urgent movements, and ensuring timely follow-up in line with agreed service levels. • Generate Import and Export Declaration Instruction Sheets, ensuring accurate use of SAP GTS and SECC information. • Review import declarations completed by Kerry brokers and export declarations completed by freight forwarders against Kerry instructions, identify errors or discrepancies, request corrections, and ensure completed declarations are organised and filed according to local customs requirements. • Ensure all import and export activities comply with customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, company policies, and country-specific documentation standards. • Monitor shipment status, proactively follow up on delays or exceptions, escalate risks where required, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. • Maintain shipment records, tracking reports, permits, certificates, and related documentation for audit and compliance purposes. • Ensure correct application of Harmonized System codes, country of origin, product descriptions, and shipment values where applicable. • Support permit, license, certificate, and regulatory document applications required for international shipments. • Maintain awareness of changes in customs, import/export, and trade compliance requirements relevant to assigned markets. • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to resolve recurring shipment issues, improve ways of working, and enhance service delivery across GBS. • Contribute to performance tracking through shipment reports, issue logs, and improvement action plans. • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to optimise processes, eliminate waste, support scalable service delivery, and contribute to effective ways of working across GBS.

Qualifications and skills 

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Commercial, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline would be an advantage. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in import/export, customs, logistics, or international trade operations. • Experience using SAP GTS, SAP ECC, Power BI or similar trade management systems would be an advantage. • High level of English language proficiency as this is Kerry's most widely spoken language. • Proficiency in one or more additional foreign language would be significant advantage.
