Inventory Management & Project Coordinator Position Summary The Inventory Management & Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory supporting renewable generation assets, including solar facilities, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), substations, and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment.Approximately 90% of the role focuses on inventory management, material control, procurement support, warehousing, and reporting. The remaining 10% supports project coordination for renewable operations, maintenance initiatives, and small-scale projects.
Essential Responsibilities Inventory Management | 90%
• Maintain accurate inventory records for spare parts, consumables, tools, and critical equipment. • Process inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns, ensuring all movements are properly documented and traceable. • Monitor inventory levels and establish reorder points to prevent material shortages. • Coordinate the receipt, storage, distribution, and transfer of materials across renewable generation sites. • Track serialized and high-value components for warranty and asset traceability. • Oversee warehouse and site storage locations, ensuring materials are properly organized, labeled, secured, and maintained. • Conduct site visits and cycle counts to validate physical inventory and storage practices. • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to identify inventory needs and support purchasing activities. • Create and track purchase requisitions and purchase orders as needed. • Monitor supplier deliveries and coordinate inventory availability with site personnel. • Support vendor coordination, warranty claims, returns, and replacement components. • Lead annual inventories and cycle audits, investigate discrepancies, and maintain audit-ready documentation. • Prepare inventory reports and analyze data to identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and carrying costs. • Develop and maintain inventory procedures, work instructions, and standardized practices across renewable generation sites. • Recommend inventory optimization strategies that support operational reliability and reduce downtime. Project Coordination | 10%
• Support Renewable Operations leadership with small-scale projects and operational initiatives. • Track project schedules, milestones, action items, and deliverables. • Maintain project documentation and records. • Coordinate meetings, status updates, and communication among key stakeholders. Qualifications Education
• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Experience
• 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, maintenance planning, or renewable operations. • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred. • Experience supporting power generation, industrial maintenance, renewable energy, or utility operations preferred. • Willing to travel to other locations up to 50% of the time. Travel expenses will be covered. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, material management, warehouse operations, and inventory auditing. • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. • Ability to analyze inventory data and identify process improvements. • Strong organizational, documentation, and project-tracking skills. • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. • Familiarity with solar generation, BESS, substations, or renewable maintenance operations is preferred. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wheatfield, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.69/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
