Job Requirements Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George’s County, our state-of-the-art regional medical center (University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center) will provide improved access to primary and ambulatory care services and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George’s County residents. Under the general direction of the Trauma Program Manager, the Grant Administrator is responsible for providing administrative advice and support in areas such as project development, implementation and monitoring as applied to a wide-variety of projects and externally funded programs (grant programs) throughout the life-cycle of projects at UM Capital Region Health (UMCAP). This role will also be responsible for the preparation of project approval documents as well as all project related legal documents. In addition, the Grant Administrator plays a coordination role for projects/programs travel-related activities. The Grant Administrator must complete the work in accordance with grant award standards, policies and procedures and ensure the effective and efficient stewardship of resources.
Work Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration or related field. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration or related field. Completed Course Work/Program: Certification in grant management is preferred. Applicable Experience 1-3 years of related experience required; 3-5 years of experience preferred. Must have at least one year of relevant work experience in grants and grant processes.
