Job Title: Maintenance Electrician / Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Electrician provides on-site technical support in a traditional manufacturing environment by troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and performing routine preventive and predictive maintenance. This role diagnoses electrical and mechanical issues, identifies root causes, and implements effective solutions to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery and facility systems.Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, to minimize downtime and maintain safe operation. • Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems in accordance with established schedules and procedures. • Work with voltages up to 480 volts in compliance with electrical standards and safety practices, using appropriate tools and personal protective equipment. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, components, and equipment, following technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. • Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, document maintenance activities, and monitor equipment performance. • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute maintenance and repair tasks accurately. • Apply basic mechanical skills, including motor replacement, mechanical part replacement, and testing of repaired equipment to verify proper operation. Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2+ years of assembly experience or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Electrical certification enabling work with voltages up to 480 volts. • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics. • Hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial equipment. • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints. • Basic working knowledge of wiring, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electricity, and electronics. • Basic mechanical skills, including motor replacement, mechanical component replacement, and equipment testing. • Proficiency in electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics in an industrial setting. • Good mechanical aptitude to evaluate problems, plan repairs, and implement practical solutions. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a non-climate controlled, traditional manufacturing facility with approximately 180 workers onsite. The setting can be dirty at times due to industrial processes, and you will regularly work around production equipment and machinery. The position may require working in tight spaces and at heights to access and repair equipment. You will use standard industrial tools and equipment, including electrical testing instruments, mechanical tools, and computer-based CMMS systems, while following all safety protocols appropriate to a busy manufacturing environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.72 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
