Job Title: Inventory Technician & Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe Inventory Technician & Material Handler maintains accurate inventory levels, receives and issues materials, performs cycle counts, and ensures the timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This role supports both production and warehouse operations by safely handling materials, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy within ERP and warehouse management systems.Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy. • Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations to maintain organized and efficient inventory management. • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production departments as needed to support ongoing manufacturing and operational schedules. • Perform inventory transactions within ERP or warehouse management systems to keep inventory data current and precise. • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to validate stock levels and identify variances. • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies by reviewing records, inspecting materials, and coordinating with relevant teams. • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation for traceability and compliance with internal procedures. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely to move materials throughout the facility. • Load and unload trucks, verifying shipment accuracy against shipping documents and internal records. • Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring orders are complete and properly documented. • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of materials to preserve quality and facilitate easy identification. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety policies and housekeeping standards. • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and material flow to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. • Support other warehouse and production functions as assigned, contributing to overall operational effectiveness. Essential Skills

• Experience with inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting. • Proficiency in material handling, including moving, staging, and organizing materials in a warehouse or production environment. • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. • Working knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems for performing inventory transactions and maintaining records. • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting. • Ability to verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory data and physical materials. • Ability to maintain organized inventory storage locations and clear labeling practices. • Commitment to following safety policies and procedures in a warehouse and production setting. Team members may be exposed to temperature extremes during cold and hot weather while working in and around the facility and loading or unloading trucks. Safety gear, including safety shoes and safety glasses, is supported through reimbursement, and employees are expected to follow all safety policies to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntley, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
