Job Title: Inventory ClerkJob DescriptionThis Inventory Clerk role focuses on organizing and inventorying a maintenance tool cage to ensure accurate tracking of tools, parts, and supplies. You will perform physical counts, reconcile discrepancies, and enter inventory data into SAP, helping maintain reliable records that support maintenance operations.Responsibilities
• Organize and catalog maintenance tools, parts, and supplies within the tool cage and storage areas. • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and system records. • Enter, update, and maintain inventory and parts information accurately in SAP and related inventory management systems. • Label, sort, and store materials in designated locations to ensure easy identification and retrieval. • Maintain accurate inventory records, documentation, and logs for all tools, parts, and supplies. • Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts to support continuous improvement of inventory accuracy. • Monitor inventory levels and help identify missing, damaged, or misplaced items for follow-up action. • Follow established safety procedures while handling tools and materials and maintain a clean, organized work area. • Collaborate with maintenance and warehouse personnel to support tool room and inventory control processes. Essential Skills
• Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, maintenance, tool room, or data entry roles preferred. • Hands-on experience working in a maintenance tool room environment is preferred. • Experience using SAP or other inventory management systems is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate counts and data entry. • Solid organizational skills to manage and arrange tools, parts, and supplies systematically. • Basic computer proficiency for entering and updating information in inventory systems. • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and work on your feet throughout the shift. • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain an orderly work area. • Experience in inventory control or toolroom operations. • Familiarity with data entry processes related to parts and inventory information. • Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active environment. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the shift. Work is performed on your feet for most of the day and involves lifting items up to 30 lbs, organizing shelves and storage areas, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
