Material Handler (EPI)Vancouver, WA12-hour Compressed Day ShiftJob DescriptionThe Material Handler position is responsible for the organization and management of production materials. This role involves driving a box truck between buildings at the worksite, loading and unloading containers of material, and staging materials for production operators. The position operates on a 12.5-hour day shift with a compressed workweek schedule, alternating between 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF, requiring work every other weekend and potential overtime. Tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors, including within a cleanroom environment that necessitates wearing specific PPE.Responsibilities

• Follow complex, detailed procedures and complete documentation per specifications to meet daily targets on time and without defect. • Become cross-trained and certified to rotate among multiple process areas within the department. • Drive transport vehicles such as golf carts and box trucks, including backing into tight spaces. • Transfer material boxes, requiring bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, and reaching. • Push, pull, and guide transport carts through doorways, hallways, and loading docks. • Move, lift, carry, and transport material boxes weighing approximately 5 to 30 pounds each. • Exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. • Push carts on wheels weighing approximately 20 lbs, occasionally up to 500 lbs. • Cut open, lift, and move material storage boxes 50 to 400 times during each shift. • Wrap pallets and safely move pallets with a pallet jack. • Load and secure carts in transport vehicles. • Unpackage material to prepare for processing and transfer from cartons to carts. • Stand or walk for extended periods and work up to 12-hour shifts. • Work around hazardous and volatile materials. • Determine material quantities needed and transfer to predetermined locations. • Review work orders, load material onto the appropriate tool sets, and load correct recipes according to customer specifications. • Perform daily calibrations for each process tool and verify all calibration data meets process specifications. • Monitor, analyze, and verify that all data and processes meet quality specifications before moving material to the next process step. • Operate robotic equipment to lift, unload, raise, lower, and transport material, products, and other equipment. • Use effective time management in a multitasking environment with strong attention to detail and organization. • Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute percentages and decimals using a calculator. • Use computers to electronically move and track material and create reports as needed. • Input data, track, and confirm incoming and outgoing material for each process step using a computer keyboard. • Complete computerized forms and labels, and requests for delivery of materials and equipment per work orders and schedule requirements. • Familiarity with email and Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel. • Prepare, analyze, and create data, conduct extensive reading, and perform visual inspections of small parts, errors, defects, fabrication, words, and numbers. • Follow all documented training, procedures, and processes to meet quality standards. • Report and take action to prevent variations, errors, or lapses in quality. • Ensure quality issues are reported, corrected, and not repeated. • Identify and report suggestions for improvement to supervisors or appropriate managers. • Complete all tasks using safe behaviors and prioritize safety above all. • Act as a role model in safety with co-workers. • Communicate effectively in English with management and co-workers. • Read, write, comprehend, and explain instructions, procedures, technical and informational manuals, reports, and correspondence in English. Essential Skills

• Valid driver's license and ability to drive transport vehicles. • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Experience with operating robotic equipment and performing daily calibrations. • Strong time management and organizational skills. • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and computer use. • Ability to follow detailed procedures and meet quality standards. • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols. • Effective communication skills in English. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel. Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with part of the day spent in a highly automated cleanroom environment requiring full PPE, including a hooded cleanroom suit, hairnet, safety glasses, face mask, and latex gloves. Other parts of the day involve working outside the cleanroom in staging areas, including outdoors on loading docks and driving a box truck between buildings. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
