Job Title: Assembler Job DescriptionThe Assembler fabricates and assembles a variety of mechanical assemblies and supporting hardware, applying knowledge of production and assembly techniques while using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. This role reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, templates, work orders, and related documentation to determine methods, sequences of operations, and dimensional and finish specifications. The Assembler is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring that all assembled products meet customer and internal quality requirements.Responsibilities
• Fabricate, assemble, and calibrate production parts and mechanical assemblies, including gauge and small part assemblies. • Locate and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, ATPs, specifications, templates, and work instructions to determine requirements and assembly steps. • Use hand and power tools to trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, and finish parts according to specifications and templates. • Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives, and sealants in accordance with specified formulas and work instructions. • Fill out all necessary production and shipping paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets, and shipment forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Lift and handle materials and test manifolds, including manual lifting of items up to 30 lbs and, as required, up to 40 lbs within safety guidelines. • Inspect final assemblies to verify compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and shipping requirements. • Assure compliance with customer requirements and internal standards related to quality, delivery, and cost targets. • Use E10 transactions and job-related dashboards, including part and job trackers, to record work, monitor status, and support production flow. • Assemble multiple products within a cell or across multiple lines as demonstrated by training and qualification matrices. • Support the team in evaluating labor standards, costs, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. • Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. • Complete all required training and remain current with job-related certifications, procedures, and safety requirements. • Adhere to corporate environmental, health, and safety policies and task-specific safety protocols, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Participate in other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned. Essential Skills
• 12 years of manufacturing assembly experience required; 3+ years of assembly experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace preferred. • Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly work on production, gauge, and small part assemblies. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, templates, assembly drawings, ATPs, specifications, and work instructions. • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools in a production environment. • Ability to meet deadlines, plan work effectively, and manage tasks to support on-time delivery and cost goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred. • Familiarity with production lines, assembly cells, and assembly line operations. • Comfort working with job-related dashboards, part and job tracking systems, and electronic production records. Team members work primarily on the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday. The role involves regular use of hand and power tools, precision instruments, and production equipment, as well as interaction with blueprints, templates, and computer-based dashboards. Work may require standing or sitting for extended periods, using stairs, and performing manual lifting within established safety limits. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is used as required by task and safety protocols, and employees operate in a structured, safety-conscious manufacturing setting with an emphasis on accuracy, quality, and attention to detail. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
