UAV Electro-Mechanical Assembler, Stafford, VA Shift: 9/80 schedule on a M-F 1st shift, every other Friday offPay: $20-$22/hrDirect PlacementJob DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for defense customers, working with electro-mechanical components, electrical wiring, and precision assembly processes. You will build, test, and inspect UAV systems according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications, while collaborating closely with engineering and production teams in a dynamic, start-up style environment.The role is based in a warehouse and production environment with dedicated workstations for assemblers. The facility operates with a start-up mindset, where flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of the daily routine. The position includes travel, including a potential two-week training period abroad, and you will work in a setting that values safety, organization, and a professional, production-appropriate dress code.Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies in accordance with blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Perform electrical wiring of UAV systems and conduct testing to verify functionality, performance, and quality. • Use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment to complete assembly tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely. • Inspect components and completed assemblies for defects, irregularities, or nonconformities, ensuring adherence to quality control standards. • Collaborate with engineers and team members to resolve assembly issues, recommend improvements, and support process optimization. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety protocols and company guidelines. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning units, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. • Document assembly procedures, modifications, test results, and quality checks to ensure full traceability and compliance. • Support production goals by meeting deadlines, following standardized work instructions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. • Participate in training, including travel-based training, to learn new assembly techniques, technologies, and quality standards. Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in assembling electro-mechanical systems or similar mechanical and electrical assemblies. • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with complex mechanical and electrical components. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and relevant testing equipment in a production or assembly environment. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints, including virtual drawings and digital documentation. • Basic computer skills, including the ability to access virtual blueprints, pull drawings, and perform accurate data entry. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to obtain or hold a valid US passport. • Willingness to travel approximately 10%15%, including a two-week training trip abroad. • Ability to work effectively in a warehouse/production setting with individual workstations. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $45760.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.including health insurance, 401K plan, vacation days, paid holidays and sick leave. You will be eligible to the employers match under the Companys 401K plan after you have completed 6 full months of employment with the Company. (c) Paid Time-Off: You will be eligible to earn up to fifteen (15) days of paid vacation per calendar year, which will accrue monthly on a pro-rata basis.
