Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Industrial Radiator CoresJob DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling the cores of industrial radiators in a busy fabrication and assembly shop. You will work with metal components, operate machinery, and collaborate in small teams to build high-quality radiator cores used in warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. Responsibilities • Work in the core assembly area to build the cores of industrial radiators according to production requirements and quality standards. • Operate a slitting machine, including loading spools of various metals, monitoring operation, and ensuring the machine runs smoothly without jams. • Collaborate in teams of two to assemble radiator cores, using a handle to feed metal pipes through core sheathing and complete the core structure. • Read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions to ensure accurate mechanical assembly. • Use power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures to perform precise cuts, fits, and alignments. • Safely operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment to move metal spools, cores, and assemblies as needed. • Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including positioning, fastening, and securing components in line with specifications. • Inspect assembled cores for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to blueprint requirements, reporting any defects or issues. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety guidelines and procedures at all times. • Coordinate daily activities with the Assembly Supervisor and team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of experience in assembly or machine operation in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. • At least 1 year of experience using power tools in an industrial or mechanical setting. • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements. • Mechanical assembly skills, including working with metal components and fabricated parts. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical assembly tasks. • Experience operating or working around overhead cranes and related material-handling equipment. • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery and tools. • Ability to work effectively in a team of two and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in an assembly and fabrication shop environment. • Familiarity with building or assembling industrial equipment such as radiators or similar mechanical systems. • Comfort working in warm, nontemperature-controlled environments where soldering and metal fabrication occur. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, structurally sound assemblies. • Strong focus on safety and adherence to shop procedures and guidelines. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an assembly and fabrication shop that builds industrial radiators for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. The role is on first shift, working Monday through Thursday from 4:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The facility is clean and organized but not temperature controlled, and it can become hot in the summer, especially in the core area where entire cores are solder dipped. You will work with machinery such as slitting machines and overhead cranes, as well as power tools and measuring tools, in a hands-on industrial environment under the direction of an Assembly Supervisor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of KENOSHA, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
