About this role

Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThe Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining label production equipment to ensure high-quality labels are produced efficiently and safely. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to production schedules, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and monitor label production equipment. • Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. • Check print and seam quality continuously. • Remove defective material and splice roll web back together as per specifications. • Utilize a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedures. • Handle rolls and palletize them to prevent damage. • Understand basic printing and seam-related defects. • Record and enter data into designated paperwork and company operating systems. • Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties. Essential Skills • Proficiency in machine operation, assembly, and general production. • Ability to use a tape measure and packaging skills. • Experience with forklift operations. • Mechanical troubleshooting skills. • Hand tool proficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations for label counts and conversions. • Capability to use simple Windows-based applications. • Physical ability to stand, use hands to finger, feel and touch, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. • Frequent walking and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly. • Specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
