Job Requirements Join our team At Siemens Healthineers, we pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. Join our Molecular Imaging R&D team in Bengaluru and help develop software applications for SPECT and PET scanner systems. You will solve meaningful engineering challenges in a global Agile environment while collaborating with software architects, system engineers, product owners, test engineers, and other R&D teams. Your role • Analyze requirements and translate them into practical software designs and implementation solutions. • Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for SPECT and PET scanner applications. • Develop reliable and maintainable software using C++, MFC, object-oriented programming, multithreading, and inter-process communication (IPC). • Contribute to C#/.NET components and interfaces where applicable. • Perform developer testing, code reviews, debugging, and root-cause analysis. • Investigate and resolve complex defects and support software integration and release activities. • Collaborate with architects, system engineers, test engineers, product owners, service teams, and other stakeholders across locations. • Work with multi-site global teams using Agile development practices. • Improve software quality, maintainability, test automation, and engineering efficiency. • Take ownership of assigned software components and deliver reliable, high-quality solutions on time. Your qualifications • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field. • 3+ years of experience in software product development. • Strong programming skills in C++ and hands-on experience with MFC. • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design principles, and software design patterns. • Experience developing and debugging multithreaded applications and using IPC mechanisms. • Experience across software design, implementation, testing, integration, debugging, and defect resolution. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting. • Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with globally distributed teams. • Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Good to have • Experience with C# and .NET. • Knowledge of DICOM and medical-imaging workflows. • Experience in medical-device or medical-imaging software development. • Knowledge of COM, HTML, or scripting technologies. • Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, or development automation. • Familiarity with secure coding and modern C++ development practices.
