Job Title: Healthcare Lab Tech Materials HandlerJob DescriptionThis Healthcare Lab Tech role focuses on materials handling and inventory support within a clinical environment. The position centers on receiving, inspecting, and organizing medical supplies, drugs, vaccines, and medical gases, while ensuring accurate documentation and timely replenishment of inventory across clinical departments. The role requires dependable, professional conduct and the ability to work appropriately around patients and clinical personnel.Responsibilities

• Accept deliveries from supply vendors and parcel delivery services and record all incoming shipments on the daily log. • Inspect all incoming packages for accuracy, condition, and completeness, and cross-reference items received against packing slips. • Organize and put away medical supplies, drugs, vaccines, and medical gases in their appropriate storage areas within clinical departments. • Assist in monitoring medical supply inventories to identify replenishment needs and maintain appropriate stock levels. • Stock shelves and storage areas in an orderly manner to ensure easy access and clear visibility of items. • Support general materials management and stockroom operations, including handling, moving, and storing supplies as needed. • Follow written and verbal instructions carefully to ensure safe and accurate handling of medical materials. • Communicate clearly and professionally with clinical personnel and other team members regarding deliveries, inventory status, and supply needs. • Ask questions and seek clarification when unsure about procedures, items, or documentation to maintain accuracy and safety. • Work cooperatively with team members to lift and move heavier items, using teamwork for loads that exceed individual capacity. • Maintain a professional demeanor in patient care areas and clinical spaces while performing materials handling duties. • Support shipping and receiving functions by organizing incoming and outgoing materials in accordance with facility procedures. Essential Skills

• Experience with materials handling and inventory processes. • Ability to stock shelves and organize storage areas efficiently. • Understanding of basic materials management concepts, particularly in a healthcare or clinical setting. • Familiarity with medical terminology sufficient to identify and handle medical supplies and products. • High school diploma or GED. • Basic Microsoft Outlook and email skills for communication and documentation. • Basic written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff and document deliveries. • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions accurately. • Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when unsure about tasks or procedures. • Dependable and professional work habits, including reliability and a willingness to help others. • Ability to work appropriately around patients and clinical personnel, respecting clinical protocols and environment. • Ability to lift up to approximately 50 pounds, with the use of teamwork for heavier items. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in stockroom support or general stockroom operations. • Experience in medical or healthcare supply chain activities. • Experience in supermarket or overnight stocking roles involving shelf stocking and product rotation. • Experience rotating inventory and checking expiration dates to ensure product quality and compliance. • Warehouse or materials handling experience in a logistics or distribution environment. • Shipping and receiving experience, including handling, organizing, and documenting incoming and outgoing materials. Work EnvironmentThe role operates in a clinical materials management setting with regular interaction with patient care areas and clinical personnel. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break, totaling 37.5 paid hours per week. Work involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving medical supplies, drugs, vaccines, and medical gases throughout clinical departments. The environment is professional and team-oriented, with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and collaboration when handling heavier items and managing inventory. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of West Nyack, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
