PUBLIC AFFAIRS & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ADVISOR – LATAM
To be based in: Campinas, Brazil
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitoring:
• Map and monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to BRP products and activities in Latin American countries, with a special focus in Brazil.
• Assist internal stakeholders in understanding legislative and regulatory changes and managing/mitigating their impact.
• Advocacy: Influence the development of legislation and policies impacting BRP products and their usage, whether directly or through industry associations. Develop and deploy advocacy strategies leveraging BRP’s assets in the region.
• Representation and network-building:
• Government relations: Enhance BRP’s connections with political stakeholders across the region, at various governance levels.
• Industry and trade associations: Represent BRP in various industry and trade associations.
• Communication: Support the development, coordination and delivery of public-affairs related communications for internal and external stakeholders, such as dealer/distributor networks and governments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• University degree in law, public relations, political science or communication.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with government and administrative institutions in Latin America.
• Trilingual: Portuguese, Spanish & English.
• Ability to research and process complex information, including technical information.
• Excellent capabilities to manage simultaneously multiple and complex projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build networks with key stakeholders, both externally and internally.
• Customer-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownership/accountability.
• Sound capacity to adapt to diverse situations and willingness to take up challenges of various nature and scope.
• Team player.
