About this role

As a key member of the global payroll team, the Payroll Administrator will support the Payroll Manager in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services, with a primary focus on US payroll operations. The role will also provide support for Employer of Record (EOR) populations and other international payrolls (UK and APAC) where required. The successful candidate will have experience supporting US payroll operations and exposure to Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements across multiple jurisdictions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement. The Payroll Administrator will play a vital role in payroll processing, reporting, compliance, and systems support within a dynamic, fast-paced, and PE-backed environment. 1. Payroll Processing & Compliance Assist in the preparation and execution of US payrolls, including multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax administration, and compliance activities. Provide secondary support for UK, APAC and EOR payrolls as required. Input and ensure payroll data is accurate and complete, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, deductions, benefits etc. Support US payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements, including federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations, year-end reporting activities, and reconciliation processes. Assist with statutory reporting requirements in other jurisdictions where required. Maintain compliance with US payroll legislation, wage and hour requirements, federal and state tax regulations, and internal payroll controls. Monitor legislative changes and support implementation of payroll compliance updates. Provide support with month-end and year-end payroll activities for all jurisdictions. Support payroll administration for Employer of Record (EOR) populations, partnering with external providers to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, reporting, and employee data integrity. Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 administration, payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, and audit requests. Perform payroll tax reconciliations and assist with the resolution of federal, state and local tax notices. 2. Data Management & Reporting Maintain payroll records ensuring accuracy and data integrity across all systems. Prepare payroll reports and analytics for Finance, HR, Tax and the Leadership team. Support audit requests and internal reviews by providing accurate documentation in a timely manner. Perform payroll reconciliations including tax, benefit, and general ledger reporting for US payroll entities. 3. Systems & Technology Support payroll system operations and integrations with HRIS and finance platforms (e.g., Workday). Assist with system upgrades, testing, and automation initiatives. Ensure data confidentiality and security in all payroll-related activities. 4. Process Improvement & Controls Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve accuracy. Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls. Contribute to the development, improvement and documentation of standardised procedures. Identify and escalate discrepancies, errors, or process issues. 5. Stakeholder Support Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with HR, Finance and external vendors to resolve payroll issues. Liaise with US employees, HR teams, payroll vendors, tax providers, and EOR partners to resolve payroll and compliance-related queries. 6. Ad Hoc Projects Support strategic initiatives and special projects as required by senior leadership, including finance system implementations, global payroll provider transition/migration, and business case development.
