The Senior Fiscal & Business Analyst responsibilities include strict fiscal tracking, corresponding with internal stakeholders and strict compliance with USF/UMSA policies. In addition, this position will oversee the Children’s Research Institute (CRI) building. This position will be a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days in office weekly. This position requires a level II Background Check.

EBA Budgeting, Management and Oversight (30%)

• Facilitates the creation of necessary EBA accounts within the Department of Pediatrics. • Completes necessary paperwork and obtains relevant signatures. • Keeps detailed record of account purpose and approvals. • Performs monthly reconciliations of each account ensuring income and expense align with budgetary expectations – advises senior leadership of variances and investigate why they occurred. • Provides annual budget numbers to the relevant stakeholders both in Pediatrics and in MCOM central budgeting. • Keeps detailed track of all payroll to EBAs and advises others in the finance office which faculty are costed there, the corresponding percentages, and how this impacts their comp plan efforts. • Provides reports on effort and buy downs as necessary for all faculty providing time to the EBA. FAST Billing (25%)

• Prepares and routes all necessary billing through FAST under the EBA’s relevant services. • Ensure all billing accounts and FAST setups are prepared in advance and follows all USF policy and procedure for creation of necessary account and product codes. • Ensure bills are correctly costed to the corresponding EBA and follows up with outside entities to ensure bills are received and paid in a timely manner. • Follows all USF policy for late or unpaid bills. • Tracks all outgoing bills and their respective entity’s payment cycles. • Corresponds with central billing and AR when problems arise, involve senior leadership as necessary. Faculty Costing and BMP Expense (25%)

• Creates and changes faculty costing to the EBAs to align with comp plan buy downs and/or effort allocated. • Prepares all costing forms, obtains necessary approvals, and routes per the Health Business Office policy. • Provides reports on faculty costing to EBAs when requested and necessary for budgetary projection, comp plan recalculation, and more. • Uses Bull Marketplace (BMP) to purchase necessary supplies for the EBAs, following all USF policy and procedures. • Pays any necessary facility leases and operational costs for the EBA using BMP. Reconcile EBA salary and expense lines to ensure correct chargeback of these items. • Adjusts costing for self and other staff members to align with effort provided to the EBAs. Children’s Research Institute (CRI) Building Management (15%)

• Oversees the CRI building. • Manages the call boxes at the entrance doors, responds to calls to enter, and adjusts the call box directories as needed. • Provides updates to relevant employees in the building when changes occur that impact safety, accessibility, and use. • Submits facility tickets when needed to fix or address issues with the building. • Calls emergency facility line when immediate concerns could cause further damage. • Advises senior leadership of issues and correspond with other departments that use the space as necessary. • Assists the Chair with any necessary applications or processes if the CRI were to become a center. Other Duties as Assigned (5%)

• Performs any other duties necessary for the business operations of the Pediatrics Finance Office, especially as it relates to EBAs and the CRI building.

Minimum qualifications This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or other field directly related to the position's specific responsibilities and 4-6 years of fiscal related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree in no specific required field and four years of fiscal related work experience; or six years fiscal related work experience. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in financial management for a university-related clinical practice, especially with University EBA or Auxilliary accounts.
