The department of Psychiatry is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join its clinical team at the Byrd Alzheimer's Institute and Memory Disorder Clinics. This position will provide outpatient clinical care to patients to include the diagnosis, treatment and management of adult patients with mental and/or behavioral health conditions. Completes clinical documentation, responds to messages and telephone calls, performs other clinical administrative tasks. This position will also support the clinical research mission through various clinical trial work.
Clinical - Provides outpatient medication management to include the diagnosis, treatment and management of adult patients with mental and/or behavioral health conditions. Completes clinical documentation, responds to messages and telephone calls, performs other clinical administrative tasks. Research - Supports the clinical trials mission of the division; Prepares data for collection and reporting; Performs study interventions according to protocol; Completes study training and related reporting. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, service, and related activities. May be responsible for research and/or academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor. This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.
