WHAT THIS ROLE IS ABOUT The primary purpose of the Workshop is to ensure the reliable availability and operational integrity of plant equipment and technical systems at chemical production and Verbund site facilities by performing installation, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance activities. This is achieved through systematic field service execution, structured fault diagnosis, and close coordination with production and engineering teams to align maintenance outputs with plant safety requirements and operational schedules. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT Executes installation, calibration, and commissioning of mechanical and instrumentation equipment at chemical plant and Verbund site locations to ensure operational readiness. Performs systematic troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, delivering documented repair and corrective maintenance outputs that restore plant availability. Conducts scheduled and preventive maintenance inspections on rotating and static equipment, producing inspection records and maintenance reports in accordance with site safety standards. Identifies equipment requiring upgrade or replacement and prepares technical recommendations to support asset lifecycle management decisions. Coordinates with production and engineering teams to align maintenance and repair activities with production schedules, minimizing unplanned downtime across site operations. WHAT EXPERTISE YOU BRING Completed vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, industrial mechanics, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required. Hands-on experience in field maintenance, workshop repair, or technical service within chemical, petrochemical, or process industry environments is essential. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals, combined with knowledge of relevant safety regulations such as ATEX and DGUV standards, is required. Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional maintenance and production teams, including coordination with external service vendors and contractors, is expected. Proficiency in English for technical documentation and communication; German language skills are advantageous given primary operations at Verbund sites in Germany.
