Expert Sample Services Area: Supply Chain Services Direct Lead: SDU Supply Chain Services Location: Hub Montevideo Requirements: Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineer, Business Administration, or IT from premier business schools Technical & Professional knowledge: 5+ years- experience with of SAP, SAP import system, SPASS, PASTIS, BASF purchasing requirements and guidelines, BASF shipping policies and processes and an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements. Expert knowledge of Commercial Sample processes including SAP Purchase Order Management, Sales Order Management, Inventory management, and Master Data for Domestic, Import, and Export processes Ability to work with a cross functional team (EHS, Foreign Trade) for the common purpose of executing a fast and efficient sample process Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and enterprise reporting tools (such as SCI, Python, etc.). Ability to think big, understand business strategy and leverage opportunities of digitalization and automation and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in Spanish and English is essential, advanced Portuguese skills are highly desired Main Responsibilities: Identify and address opportunities within Samples Management processes to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and provide higher service levels to our business partners. Drive technology improvements via collaboration with technology and operations teams. Provide process expertise to team members and global colleagues. Use expertise with Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Import, and Export processes to improve Sample Center performance Monitor and correct issues with interfaces between BASF’s applications (e.g. Salesforce, WorldAccount, SAP and others) and our vendors (Octochem, FedEx and others) Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for process improvements with focus on digitalization and automation Utilize analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop and implement creative solutions to obstacles that are preventing the Sample Center’s ability to meet Business Unit demands. Drive global processes harmonization and standardization aligning with the global expert community Handle multiple projects at once, deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
