As a Production Engineer at our Savannah site, you will be integral to optimizing plant operations by collaborating closely with operators, engineering teams, and EHS specialists to promote safety, efficiency, and compliance. Your role will also involve strategic engagement with plant management to align operational objectives with the broader EVR business goals, enabling continuous advancement in process reliability and operational excellence. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT What You Can Expect in Your Role as a Production Engineer In this demanding and dynamic position, you will harness your expertise to drive operational improvements and contribute directly to the success of our manufacturing facility. Your daily activities will include: Applying continuous improvement frameworks such as Operational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma to enhance production reliability while optimizing cost-efficiency, product quality, and safety standards. Collaborating seamlessly with Operations teams to maintain safe, stable, and productive asset performance. Leading critical projects to alleviate bottlenecks and improve equipment function and process workflow, ensuring superior operational outcomes. Delivering expert troubleshooting for complex equipment issues, proactively minimizing downtime and production disruptions. Supporting the full cycle of capital projects ranging from detailed scope development and rigorous safety assessments to commissioning and seamless start-up activities, often representing manufacturing interests at key project phases. Developing a solid understanding of the control systems and automation technologies associated with your assigned equipment, enabling you to recommend and implement innovations for increased operational efficiency and equipment reliability. Providing technical leadership in conducting root cause analyses for operational incidents and participating actively in developing corrective strategies. Contributing to safety and compliance initiatives through hazard assessments, management of change processes, preparation for regulatory and internal EHS audits, and diligent follow-up on action items. By integrating your technical expertise with collaborative problem-solving, you will be key to maintaining excellence in plant operations and supporting the safe, sustainable growth of our business. WHAT YOU OFFER What You Offer To excel in this role, you should bring a solid foundation in engineering paired with practical industry experience. Your qualifications will ideally include: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in chemical plant operations or a similar industrial environment, with demonstrable success in driving operational improvements. A proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently without compromising quality or deadlines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of dissecting technical, operational, and financial data to formulate viable solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating clear information exchange across teams and stakeholders. Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems considered a plus. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks to foster operational excellence.
