Drawing on your engineering expertise and leadership skills, you'll help support vital military satellite communications capabilities that underpin national security and defence operations. The role As an Engineering Team Lead, you'll oversee the Installation and Maintenance Team supporting a critical Military Satellite Communications contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing complex satellite ground station infrastructure, ensuring reliable communications services around the clock. Working at the forefront of defence technology, you'll play a key role in keeping mission-critical systems operational while developing your expertise across satellite communications, systems engineering, network infrastructure and RF communications. You'll have the opportunity to lead skilled technical teams, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and directly contribute to work that supports the UK's defence capabilities. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to: Co-ordinate for all problem reporting activities and the execution of 2nd line rectification tasks in support of Network Operations. Monitor and controlling communications systems, always ensuring operational integrity. Work closely with other stakeholders and operational support teams to ensure delivery of satellite services across both present and future solutions. Follow safe working in line with site Health and Safety and Radiation policies and ensure all maintenance activities are delivered in line with the statement of work performance criteria and accurately delivered. Verify that all planned maintenance activities have the appropriate approvals prior to commencing work. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Oakhanger, Hampshire. Essential experience of the Engineering Team Lead Systems engineering experience within the Network and RF communications fields. Proven experience maintaining, and fault diagnosis of equipment used in satellite communications including control and monitoring systems. Experience of working to safety procedures and be Proficient in working with Microsoft Office software. Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads, with a sense of autonomy. Qualifications for the Engineering Team Lead HNC or above in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or relevant evidence of experience.
