The opportunity We are seeking a Business Development Manager, One Health, to work across Partnerships & Business Development and engage researchers during the planning, evaluation and validation of research opportunities. You will help identify pathways to market and impact, optimal business models, and the partners and stakeholders needed for success. The role will undertake early partnering discussions, support substantial impact and revenue opportunities, and coordinate with Partnerships & Business Development colleagues and other Enterprise Units on prioritised projects. Your high-level duties will include: • Contribute to and implement a Partnerships & Business Development strategy that drives impactful innovation and science. • Partner with researchers across boundaries to grow CSIRO's partnering and business development activities, including partnerships with universities, industry and government. • Represent CSIRO in stakeholder engagements and engage strategically with priority industry and government relationships. • Develop and implement business development plans and partnerships aligned with short-term requirements and long-term strategy. Role particulars Location and office arrangements: Melbourne (Clayton). Salary: AU$135,571 to AU$158,863 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), plus 15.4% superannuation. Tenure and work schedule: Specified term of 3 years. Reports to: Senior Business Development Manager One Health - Partnering & Business Development Job reference: 104270 As the successful candidate, you will bring: Essential criteria snapshot • Demonstrated business development experience in the biomanufacturing sector, specifically biotherapeutics and working with small and medium-sized enterprises. • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant science area, and/or business and commercial qualifications. • Demonstrated business acumen in scaling, business modelling, technology commercialisation and negotiating successful multi-stakeholder partnerships. • Strong relationship management, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across organisational levels. • Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, engagement, monitoring and reporting to meet specified outcomes and timeframes.
