Role Overview
Based out of our Canby, OR headquarters, the Summer 2027 Project Management Intern will provide support within the Operations Department, working closely with other departments including Environmental, Bids, Safety, and Accounting as required. You will be responsible for assisting with project coordination and documentation while splitting your time between office-based planning and field project visits.
Key Responsibilities
• Bid & Scope Review: Review bid documents to thoroughly understand the scope of work, specifications, and drawings on assigned projects, and assist in identifying subcontractor scopes of work.
• Work Plan Development: Assist in developing efficient plans that include support facilities, storage areas, access, and sufficient material and equipment resources.
• Project Reporting & Documentation: Prepare project reports, maintain files, and keep a daily log of work activities, meetings, and significant conversations or verbal directions.
• Meetings & Site Visits: Attend meetings and conduct job site visits as necessary.
• Safety & Compliance: Become familiar with safety requirements and workplace guidelines across all tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience Level: Structured as a 40-hour work week over a predetermined duration to accommodate the candidate’s summer break.
• Education & Credentials: Currently pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related major.
• Technical & Software Skills: Experience in MS Office suite, with proficiency in Excel.
• Core Competencies: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Location: Ability to travel to attend meetings or make project visits, which may include overnight stays.
